Jim Helmer
Jim and his wife Pam have ridden horses since they were kids--he on a Mohawk Valley dairy farm and she in what was then a relatively rural area of Long Island. Owners of Jack’s since 1993, they enjoy riding the Otter Creek trail system on the Paint geldings they raised—full brothers, Freck and Max. Jim and Pam are proud of their staff and are confident that they can help you with any and all of your horse needs.

Kelly Winnicki
Kelly started riding when she was 8 yeas old and has been showing for 20 years in mostly Equitation, while doing some jumpers for fun. She has always leaned toward the teaching and style of George Morris, having always been impressed by him. Kelly is involved in PHA, USEF & IEA and has recently started judging local Hunter shows...something she has become interested in as she watches her stepdaughter start her horse show career on their Appaloosa (Dante) at A-Rated Hunter shows around New York State. Kelly has been a loyal customer of Jack's Turf Goods for more than 15 years and has been working here part time for 2 years now! She looks forward to helping more horse people of CNY find just what they are looking for!

Lynn Dykstra
Lynn Dykstra has been working at Jack's for 15 years. Introduced to horses by her aunts at the age of 8, she has shown in both Open and Breed shows, including the Appaloosa World Show. Her disciplines of choice are Hunters and Under Saddle classes. Her current horse is 'Junior', an Appaloosa gelding she raised from a baby. Junior spends his time at her aunt's boarding facility, Fairway Farm, where Lynn helps take care of the horses and does the office work for the shows. Lynn enjoys helping our customers find what they may need for themselves and their four legged friends!

Sue Marchetti
Sue has been involved with horses most of her life. At the age of five she had her first ride on a Strawberry Roan named Cindy and was hooked! Having been blessed with several horses over the years, Sue has shown them in Paint, Pinto, and Open Shows. Currently she has two, Baxter (14) who she trail rides and Rosie (27,) retired. Sue has been with Jack's for over 10 years and thoroughly enjoys interacting with horse people and learning something new every day!

Ulrika Mattsson-Metzger
Ulrika has been working at Jack's Turf Goods for the past 12 years. She came to this country from Sweden in the early 1980's to work for a Swedish stable called Continental Farms (based in NJ & FL). At that time, the stable had 130 horses and was a considered a Grand Circuit stable. During her 12 year residence with Continental Farms Ulrika slept and ate with her horses during the race season. This was nothing new for her, as she has been around (and loving) these animals all her life. Ulrika's time at Continental took a lot of hard work and dedication...but it was all worth it. It was her responsibility to make sure her horses were sound and ready to race each week. She is proud to say that two of her horses became World Champions. Ulrika's love for horses did not end there, as she met her husband and then helped him with his racing stables. Being with horses has brought her great memories and times that will never be forgotten. It's funny...when Ulrika received her working papers for Continental, she had planned to stay in this country 18 months...the 18 months soon turned into 25 years! And now, she looks forward to helping Jack's customers make great memories of their own.
